News

1. Monday, February 2nd, we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, also observed as the Day of Consecrated Life. We invite our parishioners to join us for the blessing of candles at the Grotto at 6:30 am, followed by a procession to the Church.

2. Tuesday, February 3rd is the Feast of St Blaise. After all the Masses, the blessing of the throat will be given, invoking God’s healing and protection.

3. Holy half-hour will be conducted on Friday, February 06th from 7:00 to 7:30 pm. St. Joseph’s Community, Gavdevi will assist in the same.

4. Sunday, February 8th, will be observed as Holy Childhood Sunday. The collection at all Masses will be offered for the work of the Holy Childhood Association, supporting children in need worldwide.

5. The Bible Festival will be celebrated in our parish on Sunday, February 8th, with a special Mass at 9:00 am, celebrated by Fr. Jude Ferreira. This will be followed by the Zonal Bible Quiz and activities in the School Hall. Stalls will also be set up where parishioners may place orders for Bibles, Bible aids, and T-shirts.

6. The Centre for Social Action, in its mission to support tribal communities, has arranged a stall of food and non-food items prepared by the tribal communities after all the Sunday Masses this week. Parishioners are encouraged to support this initiative.

7. Our Johannian Stalwarts (Senior Citizens) warmly invite all senior parishioners to the SENIOR CARNIVAL on Sunday, February 15th, at the Piazza, from 6:30 pm onwards. Entry passes at ₹200 are available at the parish office. The evening fellowship will have a live band, games, and dinner.

8. The Family Cell of our parish is organizing CELEBRATE LOVE on Sunday, February 15th at the Baptist Hall, from 6:30 pm onwards. Entry passes at ₹200 are available at the parish office. Kindly refer to the notice board for further details.

9. Couples preparing for the Baptism of their child are kindly requested to register their names for the Pre-Baptism Course, which will be held shortly. Registrations can be done at the Parish office.
